The Arikalex Foundation The ARIKALEX e.V. foundationhelps and promotes young people in the age between 12 and 18 years We promote particular teennagers who were physically abused or hurt mentally, and are living in community houses or children's homes The children are to be supported trend-setting, not only by grant of a professional training, but also through an approch of arts, sports and culture. We help them to attend cultural events and offer them sport or scientifical equipments and do all what we can to help them realise their wishes and vocations to promote their particular talents. 1.General helps and activities 2. General helps and activities - For 7 children's homes in Schwedt an der Oder, Frostenwalde, Potsdam-Babelsberg, Berlin (3 homes) - Creation of fitnessrooms. These spaces serve the personal and physical development of the children from disturbed conditions. Due to co-operation with the respective institutions, these spaces were equipped according to the desires and tastes of the young people.    – financing of a Volkswagen transporter for the children's home Eva summerhouse in Potsdam-Babelsberg. This auto is used for schooland holiday travels . – Financial help for the repair of the circus tent roof of the Schôneberg child circus " Juxirkus ". This repair helped the circus go on with its activity. – Installation of the German-Polish children holiday center "the Arch"in Groß-Pinnow : 1 complete new kitchen, including electrical equipment - 71 chairs, 2 televisions, 3 billard tables for children's homes in Berlin-Hohenschönhausen, Potsdam-Babelsberg and Schwedt/Oder - Development of leisure facilities at " Action Hill " in the children's home Dr. J. Korczak in Berlin Lichtenberg 2. Single promotions on demand of institutions commitees. - Subsidies for a training journey, for karate clothing, riding therapy - A young girl learned to write and read fluent Arabic, career aspirations: interpreter. - Financing of a young man's driving licence. He needed it for his coming job. - support of a boy's 1 year stay in America - private English classes at the Berlitz school for 2 groups - Support to summer holiday journeys for 3 groups : a mother-children group , a daycare center, 3 brothers and sisters. - 1 deepfreezer-frige for a childreen's home in Lichtenberg 3. Actions -Ship trip on the ms La Paloma, an Adventstrip with gifts for the children from the children's homes already specified , soft toys, sweets, games..... -In Hohenschönhausen, distribution of 600 pair new shoes to the young people from the homes already specified just before Chrismas. -Flee-market stand during the street fest of the 100 years Wannsee -on KPM chrismas we collected toys for the children of the institutions 4. Other activities - Collect of tents for camp of the children's home in Berlin- Hohenschönhausen - 300 children attend the show "Legends in Concert" at the Estrel hotel - Distribution of shampoo in the instituts -Anita Lochner's Chrismas Lectures in the homes - Distribution of 50 cards for the CHI riding tournament to children's homes - 16,000 wool articles distributed to children's homes in Berlin, Brandenburg et Sachsen-Anhalt - chocolate, cake and beverages for the 20 years anniversary of the children first-aid station at the Urban hospital - 500 children attend to the musical comedy "Notre Dame de Paris" 5. Current activities of the ARIKALEX foundation -Private Englishclasses for home children(With this knowledge of a second language, the children will have more chances on the european work market.) - A fountain , which consists of approx. 30 animals, is built for deaf-blind children, so that the children have the possibility to "see" animals of this world with their fingers. to contact us, help and donate
